A Little Bit of Paradise
We were visiting Cornwall for a family event and needed somewhere to stay at short notice, tried the usual hotels but alas all were fully booked. We came across Pinetum after searching online and booked a lodge (with some trepidation). We must have driven passed this place over 100 times over the years we have been going to St Austell without being aware of its existence. What a pleasant surprise.
We were late getting there and was met by Chang who showed us to our lodge, we were blown away by the high standard of the lodge and the facilities. The little details were most impressive and nothing was too much trouble. Chang was a delightful host.
I do not think we will be staying in a hotel in the future (in fact we are already planning a short break or two for July and August).
We loved the gardens and enjoyed walking round the different themes. The peace and quiet in the evenings was bliss and yet only a stones throw from the town centre.
Beautiful luxury lodge in fantastic setting. Wonderful place to stay with dogs. Would love to go back- highly recommended.
We visited this site for a one week stay
What a Gem this site is. A beautiful collection of mature trees and spectacular scenery and one of the best plant collections we have seen, all carefully maintained and presented in a combination of 10 featured gardens e.g. Japanese garden, water garden, Cottage garden, Courtyard garden, Lake, Arboretum etc. etc. Delightful.
We stayed in The Barn, a tasteful conversion of an old granite barn which was first class in every way. The Courtyard Garden restaurant is situated, as the name suggests, with an outdoor seating area to enjoy the garden as well as the food.

A beautiful place to visit and/or stay
Perfect surroundings for a short break away – I would have loved to stay longer than three nights. Beautiful gardens and very peaceful. The accommodation is compact but very comfortable and clean with excellent amenities.
A retreat for body and soul 🙂
My two teenage daughters asked to stay longer 🙂
The serenity and beauty of the whole place… Very unique.

The most memorable overnight stay!
The setting, the accommodation, proximity to supermarkets, availability of breakfast and light meals if needed etc.
Amazing stay will definitely go back!
Great location, was like a sanctuary. Beds and bed linen really good quality, everything was brand new and very clean.
Great place to stay. Accommodation and surroundings are fabulous. Owner and staff are very helpful and friendly. If you are looking for somewhere quiet to stay and accessible to lots of different lovely places in Cornwall, Pinetum Gardens is perfect!
